Biographies allow us to learn about people who have influenced society.
They give us an opportunity to learn and read about people from all over the world.
They help people’s life stories to be shared—these stories can inspire other people in today’s society.
It often allows us to go on real life adventures by reading about other people who went on them. For example, if you read a biography about an astronaut, you get a glimpse into what it may be like to travel through space.
But why do we need to learn about biographies?
Biographies offer us some new perspectives that can help us understand our world and society and allow us to see the world in a new way.
They allow us know more about the history of the world and the impacts that that has on our lives today.
They can offer us inspiration to go out and change our communities.
By learning about them and reading them, we can continue the legacy of the people they are about. We can keep their memory alive and be reminded of the difference that one person can make in their lives.
Learning about biographies gives us the opportunity to see what has been changed which can help us move forward to make further change.
Exploring different genres is helpful for our young learners to explore different types of text. Through exploration of different texts, young learners can gain and learn skills to interpret and reflect on different types of information. This helps them build connections with their own experiences and those they read and see around them.
